Any duty day over 16 hours must be followed by at least 24 hours off.
For takeoff and landing, the PIC and SIC #1 are at the controls with SIC #2 in the jumpseat. With four pilots, SIC #3 can rest.
Cruise time between takeoff and landing is split evenly between the pilots (3-pilot) or the two crews (4-pilot).
